The cure for the common (and tacky) bathroom...

Who wants a tacky cardboard box of kleenex or rolls of toilet paper out when guests come to your home?? not me! You probably did what I did which was tuck them away. However, during their visit, if you run out of toilet paper or they need a tissue your guests will have to look for them in your cabinets!! 

Oh the horror!!! 

I have another solution.....

Inspiration Courtesy of Lake Tahoe...

We headed out last weekend to Lake Tahoe to spend some time with some of our favorite cousins down south! We had a fantastic vacation! To say thank you to our family who put us up in their lovely home in Tahoe, we created two fresh new pillow designs to give them for their lakeside retreat!

We think they are so darling that these pillows are now permanent fixtures in the shop! The large throw pillow is 18x18 and made with outdoor fabric so that it can grace both your couch or your patio! The small door pillow is perfect to hang on your front door to alert your neighbors that the only place they are going to find you is on the water!

If you are venturing to the lake this summer or need a gift for someone with an appreciation for all things nautical. Keep these in mind!

Monogrammed Car Mats!

So you just bought a new car! Why not make it your own?? New down at the shop... Personalized car mats from the southern belle. We are in love with them!

We have just ordered ones for ourselves... and they look best when you pick colors that go with your car! For example... I have a red ford escape and I ordered Navy Chevron with a Round Rose frame and my initials in Round monogram. My mother ordered Smoke Ikat with a round grass frame and her initials in Fancy to go with her oh so fancy Silver Lexus GX.

One Fantastic Birthday Gift...

This is going to be my go to birthday gift from now on...

You bake cupcakes, cookies, or a cake for the birthday girl (or boy if they happen to like baking and monograms) and deliver it in this...

How cute! Spend a little time baking something special and deliver it in their gift! I love it and they retail in my shop for just $50 - that includes the monogramming!! If it is for a super special birthday or for a family member you could include the "Let them eat cake" pillow. I hang that pillow outside my front door the whole month of January for my birthday. Lets be honest- birthdays should last the whole month!

I was monogramming today... something which I LOVE to do. Its probably my favorite part of the job (That and the etching- but etching is really messy and I end up looking like a dust ball after).

I looked up and this was what I saw...

I said... "This!"

love my job. thats all.

Tomorrow I will be posting some fun new throw pillows. This week I got by with some help from Ralph Waldo Emerson...

That's the only hint you are getting.

FYI- sometimes when I say tomorrow it actually means, sometime in the next 3 days... so bare with me- we are a bunch of busy bees around these offices!

Well Hello!

This is the Blog for Pillow Talk! A Design house, home decor store, wholesaler, and purveyor of all things monogrammed! If it can be personalized... I have got to get my hands on it! We are an ever expanding/evolving business out of Eugene, OR.

First... lets talk about the "we".... WE are Julie and Megan Budge... and WE are mother/daughter business owners or "Mom and Dot shop" owners (sounds a lot cuter that way)...

This blog is going to serve as a way to keep everyone updated with what is going on with us, our business, and the store! We will be posting about new product, business, trips, family anecdotes, and things that inspire us!

Oh... and this is Gracie...

She also works at the store!

She greets everyone who comes in to the shop... expect a lot of photos of her.

The great thing about working with your family is that while it can be challenging at times... it is also very rewarding because work and home is interconnected. That is a big part of how our business is run and why it works so well. We don't put work before family or family before work... it is one and the same. So you might be hearing about family vacations or relatives in town along with all of our business ventures! Just a warning!
